Local High School Rodeo Champions Headed to National Competition

Recently high school rodeo regional competitions were held at the Hyder Burks Arena in Cookeville, Tennessee.  There were several kids from the Upper Cumberland area in the competittion as well as other parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri for a total of 82 youth that competed in the finals. 

The next stop for the winners of these competitions is the Nationals.

Finalists included, from Sparta Tn:

Cameron Simpson
Kaitlyn Franklin
Taylor Bumbalough
Emilee McBride

From Dekalb County, Tennessee

Brady Foster
Clark Adcock
Cody Hattaway

From Overton County, Tennessee:

Logan Moore

From Putnam County, Tennessee:

Kelsey Bussell

Clark Adcock qualified for the Nationals in Gillette, Wyoming in calf roping and team roping placing 2nd in calf roping in the state and 4th in Team roping in the state. He was also reserve All-around cowboy

Logan Moore was 1st in Bull Riding and is going to Nationals also.

Kelsey Bussell was 2nd in the state in breakaway calf roping, and she won the 1st and 2nd rounds at the state finals, placing  2nd in the third round.
