Local business man, Otis Phillips, describes the dedication from the greatest to the smallest in making the recent TSSAA event work for Cookeville, TN.

The High School playoffs were featured across the state from the Tri-Cities area to Memphis, and every town along the way.

So this event took Cookeville, already a community with well-earned respect, and raised it a notch higher in a very visible way.

While the ews reporters, cameras, and t.v. crews were out in abundance this last weekend, making it a point to cover each and every champion and runner up team, the unseen "17th Team," the Cookeville volunteers did the behind-the-scenes work that not only kept things flowing, but did so in a seemless way that generated masses of good will with the visitors.

This created good economic impact on the region, and will ripple forward into time generating continued growth and prosperity.
