Crumpler Signs Multi-year Deal With Titans

The Tennessee Titans have had receiver needs for a while and using the tight end could be a back to the basics type move.

Vince Young was more focused last season on getting his passing game in line with where he thought it should be.

One of those additions to the Titans is Alge Crumpler, a free agent who was released by Atlanta earlier this year.

Crumpler may very well be the long awaited replacement to Frank Wycheck. Since then Erron Kenney, Ben Troup, Bo Scaife and others have tried to fill the tight end slot.

Crumpler has been in Atlanta catching passes from Michael Vick for most of his career. He was the second round choice of the Falcons in the 2001 draft.

Crumpler has hauled in 316 passes for 4,212 yards and 35 touchdowns in his career. His games played in are at 108 with 93 of those being starts.

Crumpler has visited several teams of interest during his search for a new team. He had narrowed the list to Seattle and Tennessee.

The Titans signed him to a multi year deal. He said “I look forward to playing with a quarterback with talents of Vince Young.”
