Golden Eagle Scramble Underway

Every year the Tennessee Tech Athletic Department comes together for the biggest single fundraising event for Tech Sports.

The Golden Eagle Golf scramble brings golfers are here this weekend from all over the area to participate and enjoy a three day golf tournament.

The tournament is going on at Iron wood, White Plains and The Cookville Golf Club with a rotating course selected by the golfers for day one and two while the seeding or pairings in flights determine the third day.

The event is filled with chances to win prizes that include news cars, cash, boats, entertainment centers to mention a few. The usual closest to the pin, longest drive and hole in one contests will be part of the tournament as well.

The net proceeds from this event will be distributed among the athletic teams.

Usually the coaches and some players from the different sports are at the tournament involved in some way.

The sponsor this year is Pepsi and Budweiser.
