After the night was over, Tech got tripped up Southeast Missouri, 3-1. However, due to Morehead State's loss to Murray State, the Golden Eagles remain atop the OVC standings.

The first set was a battle from the start.

The Golden Eagles saw eight scoring ties and three different lead changes before the Redhawks were able to escape the first set with a 26-24 set one win. Even with the Golden Eagles hitting .343 in the set, SEMO hit slightly better for a .385 hitting percentage.

The second set was a little more the likely of the Tech crowd in attendance. With the score knotted up at 15-15 halfway through the set, Tech used a 9-5 run to build up a four point lead. But two errors by the Golden Eagles saw SEMO get within two. A Tech timeout slowed the pace and allowed Tech to take the set 25-22 off a kill from junior Amanda Lindgren.

However, after the intermission, the Golden Eagles dropped two straight sets 25-17, 25-19 to fall to the Redhawks. SEMO avenged their earlierr season loss to Tech, 3-0 in Eblen Center.

Tech (15-10, 12-3 OVC) was led by Lindgren with 17 kills and nine digs.

The Golden Eagles will visit Eastern Illinois on Saturday for a match at 2 p.m.
